This assembly utilizes a continuous runner track at the door head, with the flanges cut away to allow the web to be bent upward against the face of the double metal stud jamb. The bent web is secured to the jamb using two 3/4-inch number 10 pan head sheet metal screws. These screws are positioned 1/2-inch up from the web and 3/4-inch in from each end of the bent web section. The depth of the runner track matches the depth of the vertical studs as specified by the partition type on the floor plans, applicable to all head types for openings up to 3 feet 6 inches wide.
