A removable walk-off mat with manufacturer-specified cushion rests within a two-inch recessed pocket formed in the structural concrete slab. The recess substrate is waterproofed with Gaco Western UB-64 traffic deck coating over a latex screed per the manufacturer. A drain to the exterior is provided beneath the recessed assembly. Adjacent flooring consists of two-inch floor tile aligned flush with the top of the walk-off mat, and floor elevations at door landing maneuvering spaces must remain level.
