A commercial flagpole is anchored inside a foundation sleeve set within a concrete footing. The pole rests on a steel base plate with a support plate and steel centering wedges as required. A lightning ground spike extends through the bottom of the footing. The annular space inside the foundation sleeve is filled with dry tamped sand. A prefinished aluminum flash collar covers the top of the sleeve at the surrounding landscaping level, coordinated with the flagpole manufacturer.
