A metal stair intermediate landing connects concrete-filled metal pan treads and risers to hollow structural section steel beams and steel stringers. A two-by-two-by-three-sixteenth-inch steel angle provides support at the landing interface, complemented by a closure piece welded with a fillet weld and ground smooth. Each tread features a one-half-inch radius slip-resistant vinyl stair nosing with a leading two-inch visual contrast strip for safety. Riser heights are dimensioned at a seven-inch maximum and tread depths at an eleven-inch minimum.
