A 1-1/2-inch perimeter steel handrail is primed and painted per specifications with all welds ground smooth and pits filled as required. The handrail connects to a 1/4-inch by 3-inch diameter steel plate welded to the handrail and secured to the concrete panel with three 1/4-inch by 3-inch expansion bolts spaced at 6 feet 0 inches on center and 6 inches from each end, returning to the wall. The concrete panel features a paint finish with a minimum 1-1/2-inch clearance. The surface of the rail and concrete must be free of sharp or abrasive elements and shall have rounded edges.
