This architectural wall section details the curtain wall head and sill interface with a composite metal deck floor slab. The vision glass insulated glazing unit features a shadow box with an aluminum panel backed by foil-faced mineral wool insulation. Below, the sill assembly meets a double layer of drywall soffit enclosing acoustic batt insulation in the cavity, finished with a three-eighths-inch caulked joint packed with glass fiber batt and acoustically sealed.
