Roof drain and overflow drain assemblies are recessed into wood-framed roof sumps over built-up roofing and plywood sheathing. The primary roof drain features a thirty-inch square sump with two by eight minimum framing and two by six minimum framing fastened with ten-penny nails at six inches on center staggered. A four-pound lead flashing sheet is set into roof cement over the installed base sheet with a five-inch minimum extension. The overflow roof drain assembly incorporates a similar sump with a top of shield positioned two inches above the roof deck minimum and twelve inches clear spacing to the primary drain. Exterior grade plywood of three-quarter-inch thickness supports the framing configurations, and a cant strip is provided beyond.
