This concrete wall construction joint details the transition between a first pour and a second pour of a concrete wall of thickness "T". The joint features a one-and-a-half-inch deep concrete key, twelve inches long and spaced at twenty-four inches on center, with two rows of keys applied where the wall thickness exceeds sixteen inches. Typical horizontal wall reinforcement continues across the joint. The joint surface must be cleaned prior to placing concrete for the second pour.
