Fiber cement panels are secured with panel clips fastened by two clip screws per clip to an eighteen gauge hat channel. The horizontal hat channel connects to a Z-girt, which is set in a sealant bed over a weather-resistant barrier. A six-inch Perm-A-Barrier Ultra self-adhered flashing is centered directly under the Z-girt for moisture protection.
