A painted steel stair guardrail assembly features a 1 1/2-inch diameter painted steel handrail supported by 1/4-inch painted steel brackets spaced at 4 feet on center. Vertical posts consist of 1 1/2-inch diameter painted steel spaced at 4 feet on center. Infill is provided by 1/2-inch diameter painted round bar stock oriented vertically and typically spaced at 4 inches on center. The assembly is secured at the base with a structural steel attachment.
