The partition head assembly consists of a top track nested within a deflection track, which is anchored to the underside of a concrete-filled metal deck. A 6-inch wide, 14-gauge steel plate is installed at 24 inches on center across the deck flutes, spanning a minimum of two flutes. The deflection track is secured to the deck through this plate using 3/16-inch expansion anchors, with two anchors provided per side. The partition wall studs are sized as scheduled per the plans and partition schedule.
