A structural splice connects top or bottom cold-formed steel framing tracks by inserting a twenty-four-inch minimum length piece of stud inside the track profile across the joint. Six number six gauge screws are fastened through each flange on each side of the splice. Twelve-inch minimum clearances and fastener spacings are maintained from the joint.
