Steel stair treads and risers are supported by steel plate or channel stringers terminating at a concrete landing. A closure plate spans between the stringers to enclose the stair edge. The landing consists of concrete placed over metal decking, supported by a steel angle and a perimeter steel channel sized per structural framing plans. A two-inch clearance is maintained between the stair assembly and the landing edge.
