This two-hour fire-rated partition assembly features cold-formed metal framing faced with dual layers of five-eighths-inch Type X impact-rated gypsum board on both sides. The wall cavity contains full-depth sound-attenuated mineral wool batt insulation. Framing configurations utilize either six-inch or three-and-five-eighths-inch metal studs sized per structural requirements. The complete assembly complies with Underwriters Laboratories design number UL V438.
