The assembly transitions from a gypsum board wall to an acoustic tile ceiling using a shadow mold trim. Metal studs spaced at sixteen inches on center support the wall framing with a pro-x header fastened above. A diagonal metal stud brace tied with gusset plates provides in-plane lateral stability where gypsum board does not occur. Gypsum board with a corner bead finishes the vertical surface adjacent to the ceiling transition.
