A painted half-inch by one-inch flat plate steel rail bottom is aligned with the underside of the floor slab. A steel closure plate connects the assembly adjacent to the face of the finish wall. Typical brush welds secure the members with five-sixteenth-inch welds and one-eighth-inch gaps specified at the top and bottom.
