A metal counterflashing is embedded into a reglet or wall receiver and secured with mechanical fasteners over a reinforced membrane. A bead of sealant is applied at the top joint per the manufacturer's specifications. A bonding adhesive adheres the reinforced membrane to the substrate below the counterflashing overlap.
