A sectional door head detail integrates with a brick veneer wall assembly supported by a structural steel angle. Embedded flashing with a drip extends eight inches up the wall, with the waterproofing lapped over the top and a liquid-applied air and water barrier lapped over the flashing. Drainage mesh and weeps are positioned in the cavity. A pre-finished twenty-gauge sheet metal flashing frames the head, sealed with backer rod and sealant. Wood blocking is provided in the wall as required by the door manufacturer to anchor the guide and sectional door system.
