A flush flooring transition between scheduled floor tile and scheduled carpet or a walk-off mat occurs at the centerline of the door leaf. The tile assembly features a one-eighth-inch-thick Schluter Systems Ditra membrane beneath the tile, terminated with a three-quarter-inch stainless steel Schluter Systems TD-14 Schiene edge trim mechanically fastened to the subfloor. The opposite side comprises a five-eighths-inch Exposure 1 tongue and groove pressure-treated plywood finish floor build-up assembly. The sub-build-up is varied as necessary to achieve a flush transition at the threshold.
