A cold-formed steel lateral brace connects to the underside of a metal deck using a minimum 250T200-33 by 16-inch-long long leg metal runner track centered between the deck flutes. The runner track is secured to the metal deck with a minimum of two 3/8-inch KB TZ expansion anchors featuring a minimum 2-inch embedment. A minimum 250S137-33 metal stud at 48 inches on center serves as lateral bracing and connects to the assembly with a minimum of two number 8 self-tapping sheet metal screws. The track must align with the flute, and anchors are spaced as required if the metal deck runs in the opposite direction.
