A buckling-restrained brace intersects a steel column and steel beam framing assembly at a floor level. A steel beam supports a concrete slab over steel deck, meeting a continuous steel column at a moment connection with vertical stiffener plates located near side and far side as required by the manufacturer. Buckling-restrained braces connect diagonally to gusset plates welded to the column and beam flanges, with gusset and attachment details provided by the manufacturer. Field welds and bolted connections secure the gusset plates to the primary structural steel members.
