The top detail has a bend with a 45-degree extension requiring six bar diameters or a minimum of 3 inches. The bottom detail has a 180-degree hook requiring four bar diameters or a minimum of 2.5 inches. Both configurations define the bend diameter D for proper rebar fabrication and concrete anchorage.
