A cast-in-place concrete curb and gutter assembly abuts a concrete walk with a thickened edge across a half-inch expansion joint. The curb features a one-inch radius at the inside corner and tooled half-inch radius edges at the top. The gutter slopes toward an asphalt concrete section with a three-eighths-inch lip. The assembly rests on a compacted subgrade over natural grade with aggregate base courses. Expansion joints are required at sixteen-foot intervals on center, curve tangents, and corners.
