This interior floor transition detail occurs at the centerline of a door leaf between scheduled resilient or luxury vinyl tile plank flooring and scheduled floor tile. A three-quarter-inch stainless steel Schluter Systems TD-14 Schiene edge trim mechanically fastens to the subfloor to separate and protect the flooring materials. The tile assembly incorporates a one-eighth-inch thick Schluter Systems Ditra membrane beneath the tile. The finish floor buildup assembly varies as necessary to achieve a flush transition aligned beneath the door.
