This interior partition wall assembly consists of a central metal stud frame with acoustical insulation placed within the stud cavity. Each side of the stud framing receives one layer of one-half-inch fire-retardant treated plywood backing. An outer layer of one-half-inch homasote sound-deadening board is applied to each side over the plywood backing to enhance sound attenuation.
