The roof drain assembly is installed over roof sheathing with tapered rigid insulation sloping toward the drain sump at less than three inches per horizontal foot. A reinforced membrane waterproofing layer extends continuously over the rigid insulation and terminates at the drain flashing ring with sealant. The roof drain unit is anchored mechanically per the manufacturer recommendations.
