Roof and overflow drains are set into a structural concrete slab with solid slab design, covered by tapered rigid insulation and a fully adhered single-phase roofing membrane. An overflow drain includes an insert standpipe extending two inches above the finished roof deck. A two-inch overflow collar is sealed with an approved sealant at the membrane interface. Tapered rigid insulation maintains a one-half inch minimum thickness over the slab, sloping toward the drain sumps.
