Scheduled carpet and backing transition to a scheduled tile floor set over a depressed concrete slab. An anti-crack and uncoupling membrane is applied over the depressed slab beneath float mortar, which is used to achieve a level surface for the finished materials. A stone threshold with varying widths separates the carpet and tile, secured with grout. The nap of the carpet is maintained above the adjacent floor finish.
