Four-inch long support angles spaced at eighteen inches on center support the louver head and are shimmed to the scheduled wall assembly. Self-adhered membrane flashing at the head provides a weather-tight transition between the wall and the louver frame. The exterior joint is sealed with a backer rod and sealant. A bird screen installed at the interior face of the louver connects to the mechanical ductwork as specified in the mechanical drawings.
