This single swing gate detail shows elevation and plan views of a gate assembly with a 3 by 2 inch gate frame and Trex Transcend infill slats. The panel framing uses typical 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 by 1/4 inch aluminum angles. The hinge side features a steel 3 by 3 inch tubular steel post capped inside, while the latch side utilizes an aluminum 3 by 3 inch tubular post capped inside with a gate latch. The posts can be set with an 8 by 8 by 5/8 inch aluminum base plate featuring 11/16 inch diameter holes or embedded in a footing with depth and diameter determined by the end user.
