A steel pipe guardrail and handrail assembly terminates at a stair top landing with a two-and-a-half-inch outside diameter steel pipe top rail and an eleven-inch vertical clearance to a one-and-a-half-inch outside diameter steel pipe handrail positioned three feet above the finished floor. Half-inch diameter steel rods serve as infill members between half-inch steel flat bar posts and one-and-a-half-inch outside diameter steel pipe railings. Half-inch steel flat bar handrail supports connect the handrail back to the guardrail structure. The stair stringer and stair treads anchor below the assembly with a four-inch maximum spacing constraint at the base.
