A jamb transition between an aluminum curtain wall mullion and a brick veneer wall assembly. The curtain wall framing incorporates a mullion and mullion cap sealed with an expansion control system. A foil-faced self-adhering membrane and an air-water barrier tie into the vapor retarder behind the framing. Six-inch unfaced mineral-wool board insulation fills the cavity behind the backup wall, which is faced with brick veneer.
