A lead pipe flashing assembly seals a tall pipe or closed pipeline penetrating a built-up roof membrane specified per FM 90. A minimum two-and-a-half-pound lead flashing sleeve features a primed flange set into a bed of roof cement, requiring four-pound lead if soldering is needed. The sleeve extends upward at least eight inches along the pipe. Two stripping plies set in asphalt reinforce the flange base with four-inch overlapping courses. The top edge of the lead sleeve flares outward above a stainless steel screw clamp, sealed with one-part urethane sealant at the top of the joint.
