The assembly consists of four-inch diameter standard steel pipe guard posts filled with concrete, spaced two feet six inches on center, and capped with a one-quarter-inch steel plate continuously welded and ground smooth. A three-inch diameter standard steel pipe railing spans between the posts seven and one-half inches below the top of the posts. Each post is secured to the concrete slab via a bolted pipe flange at Level 1, set at zero feet zero inches. The entire steel assembly is finished with safety yellow paint.
