An aluminum door frame supports an insulated glass unit set upon a continuous bed of caulking and sealant. The frame rests directly on the surface of a concrete slab adjacent to exterior landscaping levels. Continuous joint sealant is applied along the base of the frame to prevent moisture infiltration at the threshold transition.
