A wide flange beam connects to the flange of a wide flange column with a slot shear plate as required to allow a five-eighths-inch plate through, typically. Horizontal braces frame into the column work point, featuring stitch plates measuring three-quarters of an inch by three inches by seven and a half inches spaced at four feet zero inches on center maximum at all horizontal braces. A one-inch clearance maximum is maintained typically. The wide flange beam top flange is omitted for clarity, and similar conditions rotate ninety degrees clockwise.
