Linear wood ceiling panels fasten to a ceiling suspension system spaced at two feet on center with maximum eight-inch spacings near joints. An expansion joint provides three-quarters of an inch of clear movement, backed by a continuous black scrim fabric spanning over the joint line. The ceiling assembly terminates tightly against a wall as scheduled, maintaining a one-half-inch board thickness and one-and-one-half-inch assembly dimension. Note that boards are drawn thinner than actual size solely to clearly show the underlying scrim material.
