Cold-formed steel roof or floor joists bear onto bearing wall tracks sized per plan or schedule, shown in both exterior and interior conditions. The exterior condition requires a minimum one and a half inch minimum bearing and features a piece of stud of the same gauge as the joist attached with four number twelve by three-quarter inch screws to the joist. The interior condition requires a minimum three and a half inch minimum bearing and includes an eight inch long piece of joist of the same gauge fastened with four number twelve by three-quarter inch screws. A closure track runs continuously along the top of the wall framing assembly.
