Concrete paving expansion joint separating first and second pours over a prepared subgrade. A smooth steel dowel inside a capped steel sleeve allows horizontal movement across the joint. Number four steel dowels are spaced at twenty-four inches on center. The joint features a one-quarter-inch radius continuous tooled joint at the top surface.
