An MC12x10.6 or equal steel stair stringer bears onto a concrete slab on grade. The stringer is connected via a 3x3x5/16-inch angle, six inches long, welded to the stringer with a quarter-inch fillet weld. A three-quarter-inch diameter expansion bolt secures the angle bracket into the concrete slab.
