The assembly bears on metal stud framing filled with batt insulation as required and faced with exterior sheathing and a weather barrier. An insulation board with a base coat, reinforcing mesh, and finish coat forms the exterior wall finish. Flashing sealant tape and self-drilling lap screws secure the trim and flashing components per manufacturer recommendations.
