A self-adhering vapor retarder membrane is applied directly over a one-half-inch Dens Deck roof sheathing supported by a structural metal deck. Fastened polyisocyanurate insulation, rated at twenty-five psi with a thickness varying from two and one-half inches to ten inches, is installed above the sheathing. A one-quarter-inch pre-primed cover board is mechanically fastened over the insulation layer. The roof assembly is capped with a roofing system membrane joined by typical hot-air welds along the seams.
