A steel buckling-restrained brace passes through a gypsum board wall assembly framed with light gauge steel studs provided by the design build contractor. The gypsum board extensions are backed by rigid foam insulation blocks to maintain the profile. Fry Reglet J-mold JDM-625 trim profiles finish the edges of the gypsum board terminations adjacent to the structural brace. Acoustic sealant is applied at the joints between the framing and the brace to seal the penetration.
