The primary thermoplastic polyolefin membrane turns down across the face of the wood wall nailer and receives continuous sealant per the manufacturer's recommendations. A detail membrane covers the metal edge flashing and transitions to the roof field. Continuous sealant seals the intersection of the edge flashing and the exterior assembly. The wall construction incorporates a field water-resistive barrier with all edges sealed, followed by an exterior rainscreen and siding finish with a seven-sixteenths inch prefabricated insect screening at the base.
