This assembly details a double metal stud jamb for door openings between three feet six inches and eight feet wide. A continuous runner track is nested into the top of the jamb studs, with track flanges extended one and five-eighths inches minimum beyond the face of the jamb on each side and secured with three-quarter-inch low-profile number ten pan head sheet metal screws. The runner track web is cut and bent up against the face of the stud, secured with two three-quarter-inch number ten pan head sheet metal screws located one-half inch up from the web and three-quarters of an inch in from each end of the bent web. A continuous metal stud is nested into the bottom runner track to complete the head assembly.
