The assembly centers on a cast iron drain body with a dome strainer and a no-hub connection to the plumbing piping below. A roof sump is created by using one layer of three-inch insulation and two layers of half-inch per twelve-inch tapered polyisocyanurate insulation sloping at one to twelve toward the drain. Non-curing sealant is installed under the membrane, and the air barrier is sealed directly to the drain flange. All terminations and laps are sealed, and the void is filled full with spray polyurethane foam. The pipe and bowl are enclosed with insulation and a vapor retarder jacket extending two feet to the edge of the tapered area.
