An acoustic isolation wall junction details the connection of a non-sound partition framing into a double stud wall with a one inch gap maintained between the assemblies. Non-hardening sealant is applied typically at the perimeter joint between the intersecting partition and the gypsum board finish. The one inch cavity between the adjacent wall framing remains completely clear with no bridging of any kind allowed inside the gap. Specific wall assembly components and layer configurations are sized per plans.
