A two-inch maximum diameter PVC pipe penetrates a framed partition with an optional four-inch minimum steel sleeve. The annular space ranges from one-quarter inch minimum to one and three-quarter inches maximum. Two and one-half inch minimum thick mineral wool insulation forming material is firmly packed into the opening. A one-inch thick minimum layer of sealant is applied within the opening, flush with the surface of the wall on both sides in accordance with UL listing W-L-2075.
