A structural steel column, W10x49 minimum, is enclosed with a framing cage of 1-5/8 inch steel studs. The perimeter is clad with a minimum of 3 layers of 5/8 inch Type X gypsum board to achieve a 3-hour fire rating per UL Design X510. Exterior corners are finished with No. 28 manufacturer standard gauge galvanized steel corner beads featuring 1-1/4 inch legs.
