This millwork detail shows a plastic laminate countertop and four-inch backsplash intersecting at a wall corner. The substrate is finished with a three-millimeter PVC edge banding applied to exposed edges, measuring one and one-quarter inches deep at the countertop profile. Clear sealant beads are detailed at the top of the backsplash splash and along the intersection with the adjacent wall finish. A plan view at the corner indicates a three-quarter-inch radius curve for the outer edge banding and shows the underlying base cabinet outline.
